When I studied physics in high school I was fascinated by the properties of light as it travels through space in waves. When light rays hit water some are absorbed and other rays bounce off the surface and are reflected. I love the way light and water interact and distort images. The Water Color series illustrates another basic fact, water is made up of molecules that are in constant motion. The drops of dye begin to flow toward the bottom of the glass but then rise again and move throughout the water until they are totally mixed in. Once again the process creates beautiful kinetic images that illustrate the process.
