Edie Lipinski's journey into photography began in college during the late 60s, where she and her classmates explored campus with bulky cameras, honing their skills in darkrooms. Settling in Boston's Beacon Hill, she acquired a Minolta SLR camera and immersed herself in the city's vibrant scenes. Over the years, she refined her craft through courses and workshops, culminating in a transformative experience at The Photographic Workshops in Rockport, Maine, in 2005.
In 2010, Edie embarked on a daily photography challenge, capturing the beauty of everyday life in Concord, MA, where she now resides. Her "Accidental Landscapes" series reveals unexpected beauty in mundane settings, from rusting guardrails to paint-splattered dumpsters.
Her "Sandscape" series, captured during vacations in Carlsbad, California, showcases the ever-changing coastal scenes with black sand, rocks, and tidal patterns.
